White House Spelling Check

The name "Amtrak" is misspelled as "Amtrack" on the White House web page listing governmental department abbreviation codes: www.whitehouse.gov/appointments/list.html. On the first day of my Senators on a Train protest rides, August 22, 2006, I posted both video and text notes on this website saying that "Amtrak" was misspelled and that I was going to see how long it would take to get it corrected. I also sent in the following e-mail to the White House website:

Hello.

I just thought that I should mention that the name "Amtrak" is misspelled as "Amtrack" on the White House web page listing departmental abbreviations, http://www.whitehouse.gov/appointments/list.html.  I suggest that the spelling be corrected.

As of this writing on August 29, 2006, "Amtrak" is still misspelled on the White House website. Take a look at the bottom window on this page, the tenth abbreviation listing down, and check whether it is still misspelled as "Amtrack" or not. If it's still misspelled, you can help the cause of correcting it by sending a note similar to mine to comments@whitehouse.gov.

Sooner or later, I think we'll win this one! ;-)
